To facilitate operations through the accurate and timely execution of tasks within the warehouse environment as assigned to you by your relevant supervisor / team leader.

What you will love doing in this role

Receiving

  • Offloading inbound deliveries and palletising stock
  • Counting, verifying and labelling inbound goods
  • Wrapping pallets and preparing stock for movement
  • Moving palletised stock from receiving bays to staging areas

Inventory Management

  • Executing tasks accurately using warehouse scanners and systems
  • Performing stock movements and bin-to-bin transfers
  • Stock consolidation and replenishment tasks
  • Conducting cycle counts and RBTs to ensure stock accuracy

Picking

  • Accurate picking of internal and customer orders
  • Ensuring products are picked in line with operational standards
  • Decanting stock back into original picking bins when required

Conveyor Operations

  • Working on conveyor systems and related machinery
  • Supporting departmental KPIs to ensure efficient order processing

Packing

  • Packing internal and customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Meeting packing targets while ensuring product quality

Distribution

  • Loading and offloading stock and customer orders
  • Scanning goods to ensure accurate movement and dispatch

Ad Hoc Operational Support

  • Assisting with general DC activities including:
    • Building and breaking combos
    • Labelling
    • Pallet repairs
    • Cleaning and general operational support tasks

Housekeeping & Equipment Care

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Reporting faulty equipment and ensuring tools are properly maintained
  • Completing daily equipment check sheets and submitting them to your Supervisor

Health & Safety

  • Complying with all Occupational Health & Safety regulations and DC safety protocols
What you’ll need to do this role
  • Grade 12 / Matric / NQF 4 (minimum requirement)
  • 2–5 years’ warehouse or distribution centre experience
  • Understanding of stock control and loss prevention principles
  • Valid unendorsed driver’s license
  • Medically fit to perform the physical requirements of a DC environment
  • Reliable transport to and from the Blackheath Distribution Centre
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required
  • Clear criminal and credit record
